Crab Grass Control

Pre-emergent and post-emergent control for crab grass.

Pre-emergent controls, before the weed emerges, are applied during the initial fertilization visit. This pre-emergent is a dry application. Post-emergent controls, after the weed has emerged, are spot sprayed just where crab grass is present. We take the extra time and care to spot treat weeds, only spraying what is necessary thus helping to maintain a weed-free lawn and a healthier environment.

We will only blanket spray if there is an abundance of crab grass in any given area. This application will help the process of achieving a crab grass-free lawn.

THE QUALITY SEASONS DIFFERENCE

At Quality Seasons, protecting and preserving the environment is a main concern. We operate using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategy, which is the process of reducing unnecessary chemicals by only applying herbicides and pesticides when absolutely necessary. We take the extra time and care to spot treat weeds, only spraying what is necessary thus helping to maintain a weed-free lawn and a healthier environment. This is part of our "little feet friendly" program.

Benefits of IPM and spot treating weeds:

  • Provides long-term results.
  • Is environmentally and "little feet" friendly.
  • Reduces unnecessary chemical use.
  • Detects a potential pest problem before it's a major issue.
  • Promotes a better community relationship.
  • Is site-specific.
