Slit seeding specified areas. Premium quality seed is applied to areas using a slit seeding method or non-mechanical methods by planting the new grass seed below the surface of the ground followed by starter fertilizer. Results of this process are dramatic new growth in bare or extremely thin areas.

  • Slit seeding is the process of planting grass seed below the surface of the soil. A row of spinning metal blades cut rows into the ground, much like a farmer uses a disk to prepare his field to accept the crop seed.
  • We use the highest-quality grass seed available.
  • We offer shade or sunny blends.
  • Seed emerges in 7-28 days depending on the variety. Be patient, water and it will grow.
  • We use a premium-quality fertilizer when we slit seed to feed the new seedling when it emerges.
